Now I'm getting the hang of it!

First up is a page that took me all day. It pretty much a layout that is on my disk but I wanted to do it all myself. It was such a PITA but I got it finished and am so proud of it. It was a lot of work. Changing the color of some paper, layers and layers, deleting parts of papers, to make the torn edge. I had to make layer copies to keep some things the same size, so flowers and brads. Turn a few things to make them look just right. I even cut the center out of the circle paper and merged the paper layer above it to make it the print it is now. I did a few drop shadows. Phew. It was work!

Next is a page all of my own creation. It seemed a whiz compared to the one above! I love how the drop shadows made the page. I should have turned a few buttons instead of having them all the same but I'm not going to now. If you click on the pictures, the 'J' and 'M' both have beads around them. I might have to have these 2 pages printed later, we will see.

My sweet baby

It took me a while to make my paper have the scalloped edge and I can't get the scalloped edge to show the correct way on the frame but I'm getting better at this digital stuff.

Better late...

Then never at all.

I did one last project in 2008 and have been too busy to post it, so I tell myself. So here it is, my MIL's Christmas gift from my family.

I found the F and A too hard to put pictures on so I just did the quotes instead.
The oldest family memeber holding the youngest one, Sadie and Magdalene.
Mimi with the only grandson, Kaye and James.

The three grandchildren, Christina, Magdalene, and James.
Mimi and Magdalene having a chat.
The grandparents with the grandson, Kaye and Mark with James on his shoulders.

The family tree of living people in Kaye and Marks family.
Our family. Libby and John are not in the photo. Sheila holding Magdalene, Andy over my left shoulder with James infront of Magdalene. Mark and Kake with her monther, Sadie, over her left shoulder. Christina in Heidi's lap and Jim behind Heidi.
I saved all of my journaling for the back cover. I had bought a beautiful saying for th eback and the girl that checked me out didn't get it in my bag. I went back for another one and they were out of them so it got stuck with all these little tags instead.

New backround

and it's oh so cute too! It's from "the Cutest Blog on the Block" and it was very easy to do. I'm not very good at stuff like this so anything that's 3 or 4 steps is all I can handle.

Packing up

Well it's been a few month since I have been able to work on anything so I'm backing it all up to free up space in the garage. I hate doing it but it's too hot to be in there anyways. James is very demanding with my time and Magdalene is not far behind. I have acquired so much new stuff I'm not sure where it will all go now. I'm running out of closet space. On the up side or down side, depending on how you look at it, the desk top is trying to crash so DH ordered me a new laptop last night and he pretty much got me the works. I'll have Adobe photo shop and a DVD editor. So if nothing else I can work on making great photos to get printed and be able to post videos, at long last! I have bought a book about getting the most out of the tools you have. I'll be reading it to get new ideas while I have everything packed up. So I guess fo rnow I will be enjoying my babies and I'll scrap memories later, while they sleep.
